Interviewer

I have experience of interviewing both face-to-face and on the telephone, speaking to such people as athlete and TV personality Colin Jackson, Irish band The Answer , ghost hunters, civil servants and students. I have a friendly and personable manner and pride myself in both excellent time keeping and making people feel at ease and comfortable talking to me. I believe in treating the interviewee with respect and professionalism at all times.

Film Maker

I use the term film maker loosely, more like aspiring, as I have only ever made one short film, which was a university project, but I am comfortable using a camera (mainly DV cameras) and associated editing equipment such as Adobe, Avid and Final Cut Pro. I am re-acquainting myself with there particular pieces of software after some time away from them, but I am looking to start shooting more small documentaries by the end of the year.

Technology Goddess

I am able to use fully the power of the Internet, along with all associated packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Microsoft Expression. I can also use Quark Express, Adobe Photoshop along with Avid Final Cut Pro . I am also learning how to use Radio industry standard software.

 Writer

Kind of self explanatory really, having been a published author since the age of 11 with a poem written for a primary school competition, right through to the present day, I have developed and expanded my writing skills by constantly writing and getting feedback for work. I am an avid creative writer with a number of scripts available for review and constructive criticism. During my first degree I took many writing modules including writing for Television, Writing for Radio and Autobiography. I received high marks and praise for my work and will continue my creative efforts alongside my journalism. A small sample of my work can be found here.
