I am a freelance journalist with creativity, originality and personality. Beginning with student journalism at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff  (UWIC), I became features writer and sub editor of the student newspaper Retro. From this I was asked to become Editor of the School of Art and Design newspaper And... utilizing fully my ability to work well with groups of people in sometimes challenging situations. As well as overall editorial control I was also able to establish a group of sub editors and contributors of not only students, but academic staff who all relished the challenge of producing a newspaper on a small budget.

Alongside this project I was also involved in  producing  a magazine for the Broadcast Media and Popular Culture course, of which I was a student. Outside of university, I was involved in a number of freelance projects notably work undertaken for the Big Issue Cymru, where I was, and continue to be, a freelance arts and culture reviewer. During 2006 I had the pleasure of becoming features writer and Music Editor for a brand new Feminist magazine, Verge, based in London. I was involved in the project right from the beginning and truly believed in the message the magazine was sending out. Unfortunately the magazine folded, but I still believe there is a place in the market for such a publication.

After leaving UWIC with an honours degree I am now just about to complete a Masters By Research (MRes) degree at the University of Glamorgan in Gender and Popular Music. During this time I contributed to the student newspaper Leek, as well as continuing my freelance work for The Big Issue. I also undertook freelance work for the South Wales Echo . I am currently News Editor for a Cardiff based music webzine, GodIsInTheTV, which has over 40,000  hits per week. My most recent project has been working alongside world record holding athlete Colin Jackson CBE, at his production company Red Shoes Productions Ltd,  filming,writing articles and copy  for a website tie-in to his new health food range in February.

On a personal level I am a pleasent, hardworking and reliable person, always willing to go above and beyond what is required of me. I work well with others but feel equally at home working on my own. I am ambitious and determined, charismatic and above all dedicated to producing the best for my clients.
